Prior to founding DeepWork Capital, Ben was the founder and CEO of Coleman Technologies. He grew sales to $250M and exited in 2009 to Presidio, where he was the COO until 2013, running operations and leading the company’s M&A activities. Ben is the principal investigator on a number of SBIR grants relating to the application of Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks to control systems. He has also led the UCF team to finals in DARPA Urban Challenge, an autonomous vehicle competition. Ben holds an MSEE degree from the University of Central Florida and BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was awarded Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award for Florida in 2002 and UCF’s Professional Achievement Award in 2006 and 2016.
Outside work, you can usually find Ben rowing the various Florida lakes with his crew team, biking the (non existent) hills of Florida, or playing pickle ball.
