Tom McNamara

Associate

Tom McNamara is an Associate at DeepWork Capital and supports the firm’s investment processes, including potential investment interactions, portfolio company interactions, research engagements and more. Prior to joining DeepWork, Tom worked as a Scientist in Novartis’ Immuno-Oncology department, where he researched CAR-T biology, developed new CAR-T release assays and helped optimize manufacturing protocols. 

Tom received both his B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Applied Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It was here that he first got involved with life science research, working in labs that characterized parasite DNA replication systems and studied how altered circadian rhythms correlate with cancer progression.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys listening to podcasts, playing golf, watching sports and trying new steak houses.
